LOCKDOWNNAIJA gathered that it was a peaceful protest as nobody was killed and no damages were recorded.

According to a commuter, Alhaji Musa Abdulahi, the road linking Gusau, the state capital, and Zaria was entirely blocked for over five hours as the angry protesters refused to open the roads for free movement of people.

” I and many other passengers were stranded as most of the commuters resorted to plying tricycles to reach Gusau after several hours of appeals to the protesters which they refused to listen to.

“Three of us therefore hired a tricycle with the sum of N1,500 each to ensure we get to Gusau,”

He said.

He further explained that the constant bandit attacks in all communities of the LGA and the absence of security agencies during these attacks were the causes of the protest.
